Sarah Lampe
Interim Chief Executive Officer

Sarah oversees all aspects of the organization, including administration, finance and programmatic work. Prior to joining Trailhead, Sarah served as the Project Manager with the Colorado Association of Local Public Health Officials (CALPHO) where she managed Public Health Services and Systems Research projects and evaluated work of the Public Health Alliance of Colorado.

Lisa Olcese
Interim Chief Operating Officer

Lisa directs overall operations at Trailhead as well as the strategic leadership, organizational development, internal infrastructure and new business development of the organization. In this role, Lisa supports the mission through maximizing the best assets of the organization – its employees and partnerships. She was the executive director at Colorado Youth Matter from 2013-2016 and prior to that, led the Healthy Colorado Youth Alliance. In addition to her work with Trailhead, Lisa is a leadership consultant and trainer working in the public and nonprofit sectors.

Patricia Dwyer
Chief Financial Officer

Patricia is responsible for the financial stewardship of Trailhead Institute while continuing to build out system infrastructure created by her predecessors. Before she joined Trailhead, Patricia served as the CFO for the Voqal group of companies, which use FCC-granted educational broadband service spectra to create an educated, empowered, and engaged public. She earned her MS in Accounting from the University of Colorado at Denver and holds CPA and AICPA Not-for-Profit certifications.

Nikki Cimino
Operations Manager

In addition to maintaining the day-to-day operations of Trailhead’s office, Nikki works in Human Resources, participating in the onboarding process of new employees, reviewing policies and procedures, and assisting employees with their various employment needs. She collaborates on external communications and assists on projects and programs as needed. Prior to joining Trailhead, Nikki worked as the general manager of a Denver-based dog-walking company. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts from Goucher College in Baltimore, Maryland.

Holly Coleman
Program Director

Holly leads the Working to Institutionalize Sex Ed (WISE) program that supports schools in order to prepare our nation’s youth for life-long health and well being. She works directly with school staff to create a sustainable, sexuality education program that meets the local needs of the school and the students they serve. She has worked in the field of youth sexual health for over four years. Holly earned her Masters in Social Work from the University of Denver and a Bachelor’s degree from James Madison University.

Megan Ferry
Development Director

Megan directs Trailhead’s fundraising efforts, including building relationships with foundations, governments, individuals and corporate funders. Megan brings over a decade of fundraising experience to her work, most recently with ZIM Consulting. She is also a Past President of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Colorado Chapter. Megan has a Master’s degree in Philanthropic Studies from the Lilly School of Philanthropy at Indiana University. She is also a proud alumna of the Institute for Leaders in Development at University of Denver.

Courtney Fultineer
Senior Program Manager

Courtney manages and provides technical assistance to awardees from PCORI’s Pipeline to Proposal program. She also manages awardees from the University of Colorado’s Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute’s community engagement pilot grants program. Prior to joining Trailhead Institute, Courtney worked as a project coordinator for a health communication and research company where she managed federally funded research projects examining various health behaviors.

Kyla Hoskins
Program Director

Kyla manages and provides technical assistance to the organization’s community engagement programs, with a primary focus on cross-sector workforce collaboration. She also supports other programmatic work and program development. Kyla comes to us from working in management consulting where she managed and lead cross functional teams, specifically in health care. Prior to diving into the consulting world, Kyla worked for Connect for Health Colorado through its start-up phase and into its sustainability phase. She has a Masters in Public Health with a concentration in Health Policy.

Ruthie Isoz
Training Manager

Ruthie lends her training expertise to Trailhead as our Training Manager and focuses on curriculum development and engagement in Partnership Development, Sustainability, Grant Administration, Sexual Health and more! Additionally, she supports the development of the sexual health educator’s training cadre. Ruthie has a background in reproductive health and education across the lifespan. She is passionate about creating learning-centered educational experiences that help create change in communities.

Nancy Jennings
Senior Program Manager

Nancy manages and provides technical assistance to awardees from PCORI’s Pipeline to Proposal program. She also manages the Community Research Liaison program from the University of Colorado’s Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute’s community engagement program. Nancy began her professional career as a certified nurse assistant working with geriatric, telemetry and trauma patient populations.

Dillon Loaiza
Finance Coordinator

Dillon  works as the Finance Coordinator for Trailhead Institute. He previously worked as the Accounts Payable Clerk at Trailhead and with other companies prior. He helps implement finance strategies and coordinates payments for Trailhead and our various partners. He is also involved in the financial support of the programs at Trailhead Institute.

Benjamin Robb
Program Manager

Ben provides support and technical assistance in PCORI’s Pipeline to Proposals Awards program and EvidenceNOW Southwest’s Regional Health Connector program. Prior to joining Trailhead Institute, Ben worked with various nonprofits in Denver as a grant writer and development associate.

Tyler Shirey
Accounts Payable Clerk

Tyler communicates with PCORI P2P awardees to gather appropriate backup documentation, enter invoices, schedule payments, and track actual spending versus budgeted spending. Prior to joining Trailhead, he worked for a real estate management company that spanned the east coast, entering and vouchering invoices. Tyler has a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Economics from the Ohio State University.

Melanie Smith
Program Coordinator

Melanie brings a diverse skill set of problem solving and communication across various mediums to her role as program assistant for the PCORI Pipeline to Proposal projecs. Prior to joining Trailhead Institute team, she worked as a contractor with our organization, assisting with financial and programmatic tasks for the foundation. Melanie has a Master’s degree in Digital Media from the University of Denver.

Adrienne Wall
WISE Program Manager

Adrienne is the Program Manager for the WISE (Working to Institutionalize Sex Ed) Program, which supports schools in order to prepare our nation’s youth for life-long health and well being. She partners with school staff to help implement and coordinate a sustainable sexual health education plan that is specific to the needs of their student population. Prior to joining Trailhead, Adrienne worked as a Health Educator at Denver Health in two of their School-Based Health Centers (SBHC).

Kevin Werner
Program Manager

Kevin assists awardees with the PCORI Pipeline to Proposal Awards partnership. Prior to joining Trailhead Institute, he worked as a claims specialist with the Social Security Administration in Denver where he helped the public navigate the process of applying for retirement, disability, and survivor insurance claims. Kevin is a native of South Dakota and earned undergraduate degrees in Economics and Spanish Studies at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.

Jaime Cabrera
Executive Director, Colorado Perinatal Care Quality Collaborative

Jaime leads efforts to grow the newly transformed CPCQC organization to advance the mission of improving the health and well-being of women and infants throughout our state.  She develops infrastructure and funding that is necessary to expand the reach of the organization and also fosters relationships with local, state and federal organizations, clinicians, hospitals, elected officials and families.  She has extensive experience in strategic planning, business development, resource management, operations and finance. Jaime earned a Masters of Public Health from UCLA with a focus on management & policy and a Bachelors degree from the University of Pittsburgh.

Michelle Deland
North Central Regional Healthcare Coalition Regional Planner

Michelle is an affiliate employee who works directly with the North Central Regional Healthcare Coalition as their Regional Planner. In her role, she coordinates all-hazards emergency preparedness planning and projects. Prior to joining our team, Michelle was the Environmental Health and Safety Manager for the state’s largest substance use disorder treatment provider, focusing primarily on the development of a comprehensive safety program. Michelle earned her Master’s in Forensic Psychology from the University of Denver.

Nancy Griffith
Quality Improvement Specialist, Colorado Perinatal Care Quality Collective

Nancy provides consultation, education, and guidance to healthcare professionals for CPCQC-led quality initiatives. She also provides project management for CPCQC-led projects and uses her extensive experience in quality improvement in healthcare to succesfully execute quality improvement projects. Prior to joining Trailhead, Nancy was the Director of Quality Improvement for the Colorado Hospital Association.
