Colorado Public Health Works, is a groundbreaking AmeriCorps Apprenticeship program lead by Trailhead in partnership with Serve Colorado and local public health organizations across the state. As one of the first AmeriCorps programs in the nation to integrate with a registered apprenticeship program, Colorado Public Health Works is paving new pathways into the field for Colorado’s next generation of public health leaders through service, training, mentorship, and on-the-job leaning.

Learn More About Participating in Colorado Public Health Works

Through Colorado Public Health Works, participants may pursue certification as a Community Health Worker through a U.S. Department of Labor registered apprenticeship; serve as a Public Health AmeriCorps member with a local public health organization; or participate in the dual AmeriCorps Apprenticeship program. Through the program, AmeriCorps members and Community Health Worker apprentices meet locally identified needs and address statewide challenges while increasing the capacity of local public health organizations.
