Senior Program Manager

Adrienne manages and maintains the progress and development of the Youth Sexual Health work, including all projects and initiatives (WISE, Youth Sexual Health Alliance and Mapping Resource), in addition to being responsive to gaps identified by partners and how to coordinate the work on a statewide level. Prior to joining Trailhead, Adrienne worked as a Health Educator at Denver Health in a School-Based Health Center. She provided direct reproductive health counseling and supported young people to make informed decisions about their sexual health, including how to navigate the services at the School-Based Health Center. She has a Master of Public Health degree. Adrienne enjoys hiking, biking, camping and kayaking in the summer and snowboarding in the winter.

Project Manager

As a member of the APP team, Gabriel supports community partners with project development, administrative support, and programmatic technical assistance. Gabriel earned a Master of Public Policy and Administration degree from Colorado State University and has experience in both the nonprofit and public sectors. Prior to joining Trailhead, Gabriel served as the Department of Local Affairs (DOLA) Best and Brightest Fellow for the Town of Poncha Springs, where he provided administrative support and overlapped with multiple departments to help run a small town of under 1,200 people. In his free time, Gabriel can be found checking out new coffee shops, playing basketball, reading, or hiking with his dog, Charlotte!

Grants & Contracts Accountant

Juan joins our Finance team as manager of Trailhead’s finances where he supports program and project budgeting; ensures contract compliance; and manages Accounts Receivable Billings. Prior to joining Trailhead, Juan worked for North Colorado Health Alliance as an accountant where he excelled in collaboratively working with regional, statewide, and national
grantors/partners such as Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, Colorado Department of Public Health Environment, and United Way of Weld and Larimer County. The opportunity to work closely on grant revenues and budgets allowed Juan to understand how such funding is utilized to create sustainable programming that leads to increased healthy outcomes and stronger and healthier communities. In his spare time, Juan enjoys watching Star Wars, Marvel, and D.C. movies and spending time with his family and his two dogs.

AmeriCorps Senior Program Manager

Lyndie Kenlon serves as Trailhead Institute’s AmeriCorps Senior Program Manager, where she is collaboratively leading efforts to evolve Colorado’s public health workforce through the integration of AmeriCorps and public health apprenticeship programs. She brings over a decade of experience in community education, program development, and nonprofit leadership. Prior to joining Trailhead, Lyndie directed the Healthy Futures Program at Mountain Roots, serving as the primary liaison for AmeriCorps supervisors, members, and partners—overseeing communication, position development, impact reporting, and HR functions. With a BA in Psychology and a background spanning youth counseling, outdoor education, and public speaking, Lyndie has led numerous trainings and workshops on community outreach and leadership development.

President and Executive Director

Michele leads organizational strategy to further advance Trailhead’s mission to foster innovation and collaboration across Colorado’s public health field. She has over 20 years of experience guiding teams, grant writing, funding, technology, and strategic planning as well as small business ownership through her work with Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment, the Denver Department of Public Health & Environment, and The Goddard School at Northfield. Michele brings a deep understanding of Colorado’s public health system and valuable skills in building relationships, team strengths, and empowering her peers to make choices, take chances, and pursue passions that improve their communities. Senior Operations Manager

Playing a central role in Trailhead’s evolution towards a primarily remote work environment, Sara manages daily operations for Trailhead both in-person and virtually through her hybrid role. She currently is focused on transitioning Trailhead’s physical work environment to a shared office space with Colorado Health Institute. Sara’s keen attention to detail was nurtured while working in pharmaceutical and food laboratories in Illinois before moving to Colorado in 2013 where she has honed her operational prowess managing grocery store departments and a coworking space, and handling day-to-day operations for a small furniture store. In her free time, Sara can be found exploring the High Line Canal and South Platte River Trails with her dog; reading a book or watching a University of Illinois basketball game with her cat; spending time with family and friends; and getting out to experience all the exciting places and activities that Colorado has to offer.

Director of Finance

Tyler is responsible for comprehensive financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for Trailhead’s complex financial systems. These systems include but are not limited to the provision of administrative support and fiscal sponsorship of organizations, projects and partnerships receiving any combination of local, state, federal, foundation, private and/or other funding. He studied at The Ohio State University and earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration. In his free time, Tyler likes to play music with his friends, go hiking and play sand volleyball.

Mountain Communities Coordinator, Triad Bright Futures

Amber fosters and supports collaborations across the mountain communities of Clear Creek, Gilpin, and Western Jefferson Counties to ensure equitable access to early childhood programs and services for all children and caregivers, in alignment with the Bright Futures Roadmap. Amber also supports families and child care providers to enroll in the Colorado Universal Preschool Program. With over a decade of experience in the nonprofit and educational sectors, Amber has led community listening projects, implemented healthy living programs, and evaluated program effectiveness. In her previous role, Amber supported the early childhood community through the Cooking Matters program, where she facilitated professional development initiatives and collaborated with programmatic partners across the state. Amber holds an M.S. in International Development and uses design thinking to combine systems-level and human-centered approaches for meaningful change. Amber enjoys spending time with her daughter and her cats in her free time. She also loves nature walking, hiking, and birdwatching.

Organizing Manager, Jefferson County Food Policy Council

Nemo supports community-led food systems change through coalition building, youth leadership, and food justice advocacy. Grounded in Afro-Indigenous values and relationships with people, animals, and land, they bring experience in community organizing, urban land stewardship, and equitable food systems work.

Nemo also serves as the Founder and Steward of Potted Peace Project, a mutual aid initiative that gifts plants, seeds, and land-based education to people of color to support mental health, reconnection, and community care.

Outside of work, Nemo enjoys spending time with family and friends, competing in puzzle competitions, and cultivating spaces for collective care and liberation.

Community Justice Manager, Provecho Collective

Charlie works to address the unique needs and priorities of diverse communities by collaborating closely with grassroots organizations and community advocates, spearheads capacity-building initiatives, and offers essential coordination and technical assistance. Charlie worked as a policy advocate focused on healthcare and food access through legislative and administrative advocacy. Their true passion lies in community engagement and community-driven efforts to affect systems change at local and state levels. Their experience in Panama as an environmental health specialist with the Peace Corps sparked their passion for community engagement. After returning from Panama, Charlie began working directly with unhoused individuals and developed a strong sense of trauma-informed practices. They’re also working toward a Master’s in Public Administration (which is nearly finished!) at the University of Colorado in Denver. Charlie loves performing improv, curling up with a sci-fi/fantasy novel, hiking and camping with their dog, and watching reality TV shows.

Coordinator, Morgan County Interagency Oversight Group

Elaine has the primary responsibility of working with MCIOG’s board to support programs that engage youth and family in the process and to help them identify and articulate their primary needs. Prior to joining Trailhead, Elaine worked at a school district for five years during which time she served as the secretary of the transportation department as well as a trainer and bus driver. Previous to working in the education sector she worked in the prison system for 4 years. In her free time Elaine can be found spending time with her family, playing with her horses and creating through crochet. As a hunter, fisher and camping enthusiast, Elaine finds joy in being able to get lost in the woods without technology.

Grants/Reimbursement Manager, Provecho Collective

As the Grants/Reimbursement Manager for Provecho Collective, Greta leads the administration of the Community Food Grants program and supports overall development strategy. Food sovereignty and reverence for our natural environment are the common threads that weave together Greta’s work experience over the past decade. She has worked in the Massachusetts food system space advocating for equitable food access and aided the distribution of healthy, locally grown produce to residents. While working in youth leadership development, Greta centered environmental and social justice learning as a core focus for her cohort of young leaders. As a board member for the Mize Family Foundation, Greta has been honored to build relationships with organizations in the US and in sub-Saharan Africa to support their climate justice goals. Greta holds a Master’s in Geography from King’s College London and a Bachelor’s in Public Communication with a focus on environmental sustainability from American University in Washington, DC. Seeking out creativity and adventure through various forms of self-expression and physical movement brings Greta joy.

Executive Director, Triad Bright Futures

Jennifer Anton leads Triad Bright Futures, the early childhood Local Coordinating Organization for Jefferson, Gilpin and Clear Creek Counties. As Executive Director, Jennifer oversees implementation of the Bright Futures Roadmap, a community-wide strategy to support the health and well-being of young children and families, and  local implementation of the Colorado Universal Preschool Program. Jennifer has over 25 years of leadership experience as a program and project manager, entrepreneur, consultant, and trainer with special passion for early childhood development, health equity, and advocacy. She has an MA in Counseling and is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Her expertise includes trauma informed care, early childhood systems, and community-engaged participatory practices. Previously, Jennifer served as Director of Grants Administration at Family Tree and Strategic Initiatives Coordinator at Jefferson County Public Health. In her free time, Jennifer enjoys yoga, hiking, gardening, and reading good mystery novels.

Executive Assistant/Translator, Provecho Collective

Leticia provides administrative support to Provecho Collective including organizing logistics and meetings for over 15 different teams. Prior to joining Provecho Collective, she worked in Denver Public Schools for 24 years as a school secretary and also as a parent liaison for nearly 15 years. In addition, Leticia serves on the board of directors for Horizons. Leticia is a native Spanish speaker who has lived in Colorado for over 40 years. She is a grandmother and has two amazing children. Her love of her family, her community and her strong ability to build relationships are just a few of the reasons she is so passionate about the work.
