Morgan County Interagency Oversight Group
Serving the needs of Morgan County youth and families by coordinating innovative services.
Collaboration is essential to tackling today’s public health challenges — because no single organization or sector can do it alone. This is why relationship building and partnerships are at the heart of our work to support healthier communities. In this ongoing series, we spotlight the individuals, organizations, and collaboratives that make up Trailhead’s network of partners, sharing their impact in their own words.

What’s important about this work for your community?
The importance of Morgan County IOG is the bridge for the families and at-risk youth to get the help and or services they need to achieve their goals for themselves and their families. Making sure they understand they have support and can lean on someone. There are so many different services in Morgan County, and there are always new ones or ones that change, so it’s hard to contact them, especially if the family is in crisis mode. That is where the Morgan County IOG can help; the bridge to get them where they need to be.

How can people support your work or get involved?
People within the community can support the Morgan County IOG by donating, or helping find funding sources, like grants. Also donating their time when the Morgan County IOG does the annual Back to School Bash, where the Morgan County IOG gives out 1000 backpacks, filled with school supplies, to the students of Morgan County.
Through fiscal sponsorship, how have you been able to increase your impact? Or how has your work changed or evolved without having to deal with administrative burdens?
Nothing has really changed for the Morgan County IOG on this aspect. We still strive to meet the needs of the families in Morgan County
