Christine Coffield (She/Her)

Christine Coffield is a Regional Health Connector (RHC) serving Baca, Bent, Crowley, Huerfano, Kiowa, Las Animas, Otero, and Prowers counties counties that make up Region 6 of Colorado’s Health Statistics Regions. She is hosted by Otero County Health Department.

Utilizing her many years as a case manager and social services director, Christine Coffield aims to increase transportation access in Southeastern Colorado. Transportation is essential for accessing food, healthcare, education, employment, and recreational activities, which are all vital for community engagement and overall well-being. Reliable and affordable transportation options, such as walkable communities and bike-share programs, can improve health outcomes by reducing barriers to healthcare access and promoting healthier lifestyles. 

Christine holds a Bachelor’s degree from Regis University and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Mediation and Dispute Resolution. She also has many years of experience as Case Manager, Social Services Director/ Discharge Planner, and an Ombudsman.

An Invaluable Experience: Supporting COVID-19 Emergency Response Efforts in Otero County

Read how Christine’s early work as a Regional Health Connector focused on COVID-19 response in Baca, Bent, Crowley, Huerfano, Kiowa, Las Animas, Otero and Prowers counties. With the Otero County Health Department (OCHD) serving as the region’s RHC host organization, Christine supported the initial planning of OCHD’s COVID-19 mass vaccination drive-through clinic at the Arkansas Valley Fairgrounds in Rocky Ford that opened in January of 2021.
