As the RHC in Adams County, Jamie C. Rodriguez centers her work in firearm harm and suicide prevention for children aged 6 months to 18 years by encouraging secure firearm storage. Through convening organizations such as Adams County Health Alliance, Kids First Health Care, and Clinica Family Health, Jamie aims to increase knowledge and comfort with secure storage conversations between healthcare providers and caregivers, as well as encourage screening for secure storage behaviors at well-child checks. Jamie also leads a monthly resource newsletter for all regional stakeholders in this work.

Jamie holds a Bachelor’s in Health Care Counseling and Education (pre-healthcare minor) from Metro State University and a Master’s in Public Health with a focus on Health Care Management, Administration, and Policy (U.S.-Mexico Border Health minor) from New Mexico State University.
