Born and raised in the Roaring Fork Valley, Berta worked for Pitkin County Public Health before her role as the Region 12 Regional Health Connector, where she’s been supporting local communities for two years. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, snowboarding and cooking.

Focusing at the systems level, RHCs build and bridge connections with primary care providers, public health organizations, social and behavioral health services, and other community resources to ensure that these partners have knowledge of and access to resources available within their region to meet the needs of their community.
