Lisa has lived in Douglas county for over 22 years. She is Mom to one of the most medically complex adults in the state of Colorado (As told to her by Children’s Hospital Colorado) and has learned to navigate the health care system for her daughter’s needs. This allowed her to work for Family Voices Colorado and Early Intervention Services in different capacities, such as advocating at the state capitol, to implementing a research validated developmental screen (ASQ) at pediatric/family practices.

Lisa has a BS in Business Administration/Marketing from the University of Colorado that provides a nice background for making connections in her region. She also became a Certified Nursing Assistant for her daughter, providing direct medical services. In 2018, she became a Certified Yoga Instructor for her own mental health and education and is now looking forward to sharing this knowledge with other parents of special needs children, adults, and youth with special health care needs.
